It seems the older we get, the harder it is to get family together in one place. We grow up & start building lives, families, and careers. “Family: like branches on a tree, we all grow in different directions yet our roots remain as one.” I think this quote explains it all. Stephanie contacted me about family portraits & wanted to get everyone together. Of course we always have this big idea in our head of how everything will unfold, and of course things never go as planned. But that’s the beauty of family photographs. I want everything to unfold organically, not staged. Preserving those moments of craziness with your family, the kids tousled hair, not everyone looking at the camera, and your genuine smile when you’re surrounded by the people you hold so dear to your heart. The Jones & Breazeale families were a perfect example of amazing people having fun, being alive, and loving one another. It was an honor to document them in a honest & artful way!
