Since the beginning of my business, I’ve realized the importance of setting goals. How can I aim for the target if I don’t even know where the bullseye is located? When I started doing photography professional (let’s say around 2012), I wrote my goals on sticky notes, my iPhone, lost word documents & of course imprinted on the back of my brain. I often dreamed of my business trajectory, but as 2013 began, I saw how far I had come in a single year. Can’t really express or thank God enough for blessing me with the talents I have that allow me do to both graphic design & photography. I can honestly say without a single hesitation, that I L O V E my job.
Daemaine & I always find ourselves talking about our goals, both personal and professional. However, this time I feel maybe we should write them down, or get a BIG dry erase board so it’s always in our face. I want to look back in 2013 and see if we missed the mark, or hit the bullseye dead on. We’d list everything from realistic goals, hopeful goals, and audacious goals, long-term, short-term, doesn’t matter. And for the both of us working full time jobs, we have to separate what goals we have in our everyday corporate jobs & then goals we have for our photography/video business. It’s so important for entrepreneurs to set goals, so I want to challenge myself to take time of my busy schedule to think about where I want that arrow to land at the end of this year. I’m excited about the road ahead.
