When Shelly reached out to me about shooting her Austin engagement – I was ecstatic! Shelly & I went to high school together and we both played softball. I think it’s always cool when people from my past reach back out and ask me to document their special milestones! Those personal connections just make photo sessions even more special. The Austin area urban and natural mix just make the perfect background for fun images. Both Shelly & Danielle are huge fans of literature (Danielle is actually a teacher) so started our session off at South Congress bookstore. I loved using different light and textures and getting these ladies in a different environment. And of course nothing tops being a tourist strolling down Congress and hitting up Hey Cupcake. We also stopped at the HOPE Outdoor Gallery which is sadly closed now, BUT they are developing a new location that will be debuting 2021. Overall the day was relaxed and filled with beautiful moments. Nothing was forced, and it was a pleasure capture both Shelly & Danielle’s authentic love.
